The Oastler Building at Huddersfield University was a very hard-fought job but the end results were excellent.
The University of Huddersfield’s striking Oastler Building was recognised at the annual LABC West Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards
Again, York Wall Systems’ new operational team and Managing Director had total control and oversight of this job for the SFS/CP boarding and render installation from start to finish, this job was finally completed in September 2017 after nearly 2 ¾ years, the results speak for themselves.
The complex building design stood out from the rest, although this was a fast-tracked job that at time tested all involved the result could not have been better.
UK Special Projects completed all the SFS/CP boarding/ EPDM and render on the job and helped with the supervision whilst undertaking a small part of the internal drywall on the scheme.
With double and triple height atriums within the overall layout of the building co-ordination and co-operation with the main contractor was key to completing this state-of-the-art University building.
