The Stay City complex features 197 serviced apartments with fully equipped kitchens and dining rooms/lounges, with two retail units on the ground floor.

The six-story building is located next to the York Barbican and overlooking the Bar Walls, on the site of the former swimming pool, which closed more than a decade ago and was demolished in 2007.

Tourism organisation Visit York said the facilities offered should help it promote York to the family market, which was looking for high quality as well as good value for money.

UK Special Projects carried out drylining and partitions along with the external render system for our client Horbury Group and Main Contractor Bowmer and Kirkland Construction Ltd.

This was a challenging project requiring high levels of co-ordination and sequencing however the result was to a high quality and standard throughout.
